I've experimented with changing my name several times in my life; starting when I first arrived at college in Munich, Germany. Even though it's a strong name and could even be considered a solid stage name, it's never really sat right with me. During my mid-life crisis, I adopted the name Maxx which stuck the longest, about 8 years.

In 2024 I finally released an EP I self-produced and recorded back in 2002 (under my given. name). It's available for streaming and downloading over on Bandcamp.

At the age of 6 I had my first mystical experience hearing Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" playing on my dad's reel-to-reel stereo system. I told him I wanted to be able to play it and he told me I'd need to take piano lessons. I later went on to teach myself guitar and eventually played and sang in a psychedelic rock band in the 80s. In the Winter of 2024, while on a modern-day walkabout in South America, I rediscovered my love for the piano and the musician inside me.

If there is a driving force in my psyche, it's the pursuit of truth. According to Andrew Harvey, a mystic as seeker of truth. I have come to understand that I am a mystic, a seeker of truth. With Pluto in Virgo on my Ascendant, I feel deeply compelled to lead, and to lead from Truth. I identify as an inter-spiritual mystic on a quest for deeper understanding into the things unseen, unspoken, and often mis-understood.

When I set out on my modern-day walkabout into South America, I began shedding so many things that jus weren't true. Like most of us, I was so deeply enmeshed in what the Toltec call "The Dream of the Planet". I have been intentionally creating a new Dream for myself and hope to inspire others to do the same for themselves.
For me, Integrity means engaging with life from our True Nature. The things we say, the choices we make serve our True Nature and ultimately we are coming from love, and not fear. Most importantly, when we do fall out of Integrity (we are human afterall), we are able to not just recognize it, but also circle back and "clean things up".
In all things that matter to us, are we showing up in ways that contribute to the whole? What is the energy we are contributing to and how it that affecting the overall quality of the experience for everyone involved?
Kindness is an active, consistent behaviour — choosing to treat others with respect, empathy, and goodwill, even in difficult circumstances. I believe that through kindness we connect with our Self in its' purest form. Not to be confused with "being nice"; kindness is telling hard truths, setting difficult boundaries, and being generous in the face of conflict.

What's shared below is taken from the writings of Rhonda McCrimmon in her book on Celtic Shamanism titled "The Cauldron & the Drum".
By taking your cue from the ancient Celts and establishing yourself firmly in the virtues of honesty, humility, and reverence, you can give yourself the best possible chance to fulfill your spiritual potential in a way that makes you kinder, more generous, and a better servant to all forms of life.
Honesty means being truthful and sincere in all your interactions, and not pretending to be someone or something that you are not. It means being clear and factual in your communication, instead of self-aggrandizing or mystifying to impress others; and it means being willing to admit when you don't know the answer or feel uncertain. When we show up as who we really are and say what we mean, we can free ourselves from this unwelcome labor and move through the world unburdened and at peace.
Humility means keeping an accurate perspective on who and what you are. Every life is precious, from the smallest insect to the tallest tree, the most “average” person to the most celebrated individual in human history. Humility recognizing that all life is precious and sacred. It's remembering that no matter how far you've come, you still have much to learn from the people around you, as well as from the nonhuman world. When you are truly humble, you can admit your shortcomings and actively work to improve, instead of wallowing in your real or perceived flaws.
Reverence opens the heart, imbuing us with a sense of awe and gratitude for the great mystery of life. Cultivating reverence puts you in closer touch with nature, and strengthens your relationship with the divine. Reverence and humility go hand in hand; it's impossible to be both arrogant and reverent at the same time, since being reverent means acknowledging the existence of forces greater than yourself. It is also nearly impossible to be dishonest when you are in a state of reverence. With this in mind, cultivating reverence makes it much easier to develop the other virtues.
